This Cameroonian community celebrates World Mission Sunday with their “Hearts on Fire”!
Why? They feel blessed, as your donation to the Societies have trained 844,000 Catechists, one of whom taught them the faith in the absence of a priest. They dance for joy because one of their own has been ordained to minister to them with scholarships from our Societies. 38,140 Mission Seminarians receive grants so that they may, God willing, follow in their footsteps.
The women are healthier thanks to the clean water the Societies brought to their rural area; they no longer walk great distances for what may be non-potable water. Their children attend our schools, like 26 million of their peers in the Missions, giving them a chance to develop their God-given talents.
Now, just as every Catholic in the world does, on World Mission Sunday, they will give so Missionaries may continue to set “Hearts on Fire” with the Light of Christ, moving more people to walk with our Lord!
